Discover Queen Elizabeth National park in 3 days. It’s Uganda’s most popular park and not without a reason. With around 100 species of mammals, about 606 types of birds and with a stunning nature it will capture you with the beauty. You will discover the park through the games drives, a boat cruise safari on the Kazinga channel and spend the night in the park.
The park stretches from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori ranges in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the South, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from wetlands to Savannah to lowland forest. The lush savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park offers prime grazing to buffaloes, elephants, various antelopes and a variety of about 606 bird species.
The wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park are more than what one might think of. The 100m deep Kyambura gorge features a lush tropical forest surprisingly thriving below sea level while its unique floral species bear food for the counts of Chimpanzees that inhabit the gorge. Uganda Safari enthusiasts find Kyambura gorge an exciting site since it presents both adventure and primate viewing experience.
Day 1: Road transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
In the morining our guide will pick you up from Mbarara town, road transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. This park is home to a high concentration of Uganda’s mammals that include tree climbing and savanna lions, elephants, wart hogs, Uganda kob, water buck, cape buffalo, hippos, leopards, as well as more than 600 species of birds that include the African spoon bill, pied kingfishers, fish eagles, pelicans, vultures. Queen Elizabeth National park is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has game including Uganda Kob, warthog and waterbuck, Lions elephants. When the had our first day, you can relax at the lodge. You will spend the nicht at Bush lodge tents or Irungu forest Camp.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth Nationaal park- game drive and boat safari
Today early in the morning, around 6.30am, your guide will pick you from your lodge and set off for morning game drive. A little before sunrise coffee, will be served in the lounge before we head out for a long game drive. We will enjoy the early morning sunrise. You will search for wildlife in the park. Look out for Elephants, Buffalo, Lion, Waterbuck, Leopard, Uganda Kob, and many Warthogs.
In the afternoon at 3 pm we will have a boat cruise safari tour on Kazinga channel. This is probably the most amazing combination of spectacular water birds (residents and migrants) teaming with wildlife on Kazinga channel. Along the channel, local people are seen loading their canoes, fetching water as buffalos wallowing , elephants shower, hippos roam around, crocodiles basking on the same banks. Watch the unbelievable life at the fishing village. Tones of storks, spoonbills, cormorants, kingfishers, lapwigs, pelicans. You can expect to see buffalo, crocodile, bathing elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. After transfer back to the lodge. You will spend the nicht at Bush lodge tents or Irungu forest Camp.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National park to Kampala or Entebbe
The last day has come. We will travel back to Kampala or Entebbe and it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy drive back and we are sure that you had an unforgettable expierence!

Bush lodge tents
The Bush Lodge forms an excellent base for your safari activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
